Post Kickstarter Update #5: Exquisite Tuck Sample
over 5 years ago
– Thu, Jul 30, 2020 at 01:11:52 AM
Hey Everyone!
I'm excited to show you the final Exquisite tuck samples I got in recently. These turned out gorgeous. I think these will be some of the best decks I have produced so far. I hope you are as excited as I am to receive these. Check out the images below.
Also, I wanted to give you all some reasons for the changes to the Standard tucks from the original renders I posted on the Kickstarter page.
Why The Changes?
I ended up changing a couple things on the standard tucks, which I felt were my best options. I changed the Lion logo in the middle and the embossed pattern design.
The Lions were changed from a filled background to a non-filled background. I found that the foil detail was not able to hold with such small details and a lot of it had to do with the fill. It didn't change on the Exquisite because it was larger. The Standard logo was smaller. I simplified all lions and took out the filled background.
This was changed simply because the embossing was not coming out to my satisfactory. I chose a pattern that maintained the over all feel of the project and was large enough to create a much more desired embossing.
My Philosophy of Conduct on Public Forums
Ok, I will be as short and to the point as I can about this. I believe that the way I conduct myself on a public forum, such as Facebook, Twitter, any social media platform, as well as here on Kickstarter, is just that...public. What I normally would say in private or with close friends is different than on a public setting.
My promise to anyone I am chatting with on a public forum (where everyone can see it) is to never attack their character or them personally. The reason for me is simple, if what I say would get me popped in the mouth in person, then why would I say it in public. I see this too much on Facebook and twitter. What someone would not normally say to a person's face, they feel they can in a public setting, because they know there won't be any consequences.
About that...consequences. You are a part of this project and I treasure you and your willingness to support me and the work that I offer. I will remove anyone from my projects who violate this rule that I have just laid out above. Of course, I will do this as a last resort and with much deliberation. I hope you all can understand this and thank you.
...ok that's it. Now back to the fun stuff!
Thanks all!
Sincerely, Jody

Hi everyone!
We are getting close to shipping Sovereign! I am really excited for these as many of you are. I know, because you keep asking me about them :)
Well, how about I make you even more impatient? I just got some samples in of the standard decks and they look awesome! Thanks Gambler's Warehouse for the awesome production. The embossing turned out way better than I could have hoped for. Here are some great pics of the tucks I took this morning and posted on Instagram.
The Exquisite tuck samples are coming soon! Can't wait! I will show you those once I have some pics.
Sincerely,
Jody
Post Kickstarter Update #3: Delivery Delayed until August
almost 6 years ago
– Tue, May 26, 2020 at 12:53:00 PM
Hi everyone!
Happy Memorial Day for those who are celebrating in the U.S.!
I hope this message finds you all healthy and doing well. I just want to give you a quick update on where we are at with the Sovereign production schedule. My apologies for taking a couple months to do an update, but there has been really no new news for that long.
USPCC went back to work a couple weeks ago and the Sovereign production started soon afterwards. They said that it will be about 8 weeks from two weeks ago to finish production. The issue will be the finishing part they say. All of the other pieces add-ons and packaging are finishing up in the next couple of weeks and will be shipping to Gambler's Warehouse in Texas.
The only hold out right now are the metal playing card holders. I had the hardest time finding a supplier to make these. The one that I finally found is taking their time.
So, with everything I am seeing, I am predicting an August delivery for Sovereign.
Here is wishing you all well during some crazy times.
Sincerely,
Jody
Post Kickstarter Update #2: Backerkit is 90% Complete/covid-19 Delay
almost 6 years ago
– Wed, Apr 01, 2020 at 12:00:46 AM
Hi everyone!
Wow what a crazy time! I just want to give you a quick update on where we are at. My apologies for taking a little long to send this out, but I needed to get some information from our manufacturers.
COVID-19 DELAY
Some of you have asked whether or not Covid-19 will affect delivery of Sovereign. It looks like is will. USPCC (Playing Card Manufacturer) is closed right now due to the outbreak guidelines. As of right now, delivery is looking like it is a month delayed. I might expect it will increase as we know more. I will keep you all posted.
BACKERKIT SURVEY 90% COMPLETE
In the meantime please continue to fill out your BackerKit surveys and get those completed. We are currently at 90% complete with all surveys. I will be locking them down by April 15th.
GOOD NEWS!
I have been working on all of the other pieces to Sovereign, and what I have been seeing so far is looking really good. I have chosen a new Card Guard and Antique Metal Card company to produce our pieces. The images they have shown me of the 3d renderings look very promising and I am looking forward to getting the samples soon.
3d rendering of the back of the Antique Metal Card (Not final look)
I can't remember if I ever showed you all the design for the front of the Antique Metal Card. I think the design turned out really nice.
3d rendering of the front of the Antique Metal Card (Not final look)
3d rendering of the front of the Dealer Coin (Not final look)
3d rendering of the back of the Dealer Coin (Not final look)
Alright, that is all for now. You all stay safe.

Post Kickstarter Update #1: THE BACKERKIT SURVEY IS ON IT'S WAY!
– Mon, Mar 02, 2020 at 09:36:12 PM
Hey all!
The Kickstarter funds are in the bank and the BackerKit Surveys will be coming to you shortly. You should be getting your surveys today sometime.
For the 81 backers that were dropped from the project, no worries, you will still have the chance to recover your pledges. That is the beauty of using a pledge manager after Kickstarter.
Schedule
I am really excited to start getting these made! All of the artwork for Sovereign has been sent to the printer and once I have a better idea of the numbers, I will put in the numbers.
THANK YOU ALL for your support for Sovereign. I will be continuing to give you all regular updates. Please Message me through Kickstarter if you have a specific question.
